REPORTER System Update for 11/26 – 12/3

System Updates

  • Today, December 3rd, from 9am – 11am REPORTER experienced connectivity issues due to a high volume of registrations. The system was restored to normal functionality by approximately 11am. During the 9-11am period, payments for courses did not indicate completion within REPORTER. All of these orders have been updated to correctly indicate received payments.
    • The REPORTER team is actively working to improve our payment processing functionality to better support high volume registrations while maintaining PCI compliance through an external processor.
  • The REPORTER Production environment was updated this evening with the following functionality:
    • Updated navigation
      • The Home button has moved to the top of the left side menu
      • Clicking your name from the top right toolbar will now expand extra navigation options including visiting your profile, accessing orders and signing out
    • Improved Certificate Program functionality
      • Added a copy function for Programs
      • Added asterisks to required fields that were missing them
      • Updated certificate program functionality on mobile platforms
      • Added a section to participant dashboard to show completed programs
    • Compliance updates
      • Added Requirement ID and Course ID fields to the view/export more details report
      • Corrected an issue causing alternate required courses to not update properly when other required course is completed
      • Fixed an issue causing a problem viewing the most recent completion date for some users
      • Updated assignment email template
      • Added active employee search field to the assignment page
      • Added an administrative function to update all assigned user’s data to match the requirements current due date and refresh configuration
        • If you have a requirement that is set up to be due every year, but you need to change it to every three years — this button will recalculate users due dates to reflect the new 3 year period
        • This can only be completed by REPORTER Support, contact us if you need assistance
      • Fixed an issue causing the date of registration column to not fill in for previous completions
      • Fixed an issue with the notifications related to unassigning users
      • Fixed an issue causing previous completion to not correctly apply/calculate due dates
    • Financials
      • Financial Reports are now viewable to Course Admins and Course Liaisons
      • Corrected an issue preventing error messages from displaying for Financial Admins were posting payments that did not have all of the required information (and more accurately marked required fields on payment pages
      • Fixed an issue preventing Order Owners to post payments on their orders
      • Fixed an issue preventing Financial Admins from viewing financial information for certificate programs on the Finance tab
      • Added additional financial reporting for certificate programs
      • Fixed an issue on the Transactions details report with the transaction type for certificate programs, sponsorships and donations
    • Miscellaneous
      • Updated the cancellation notification email sent to instructors
      • Updated the window for instance cancellations to include the details of the cancellation email, also added cc options
      • Hidden instructors are no longer showing in the course catalog
      • Added Order Number search field to Enrollment History report
      • Fixed an error preventing users from adding themselves back to a watchlist after being removed
    • Youth Activities
      • We are actively developing capabilities to track youth camp/activity registrations through REPORTER, to include the creation of family/youth accounts and registrations into a youth activity.  If your department would like to discuss youth activity/camp registration through REPORTER, please email reporter_support@ncsu.edu.
