System Updates for First Quarter 2020

Maintenance Announcement: REPORTER will be unavailable during a maintenance window on Sunday, March 15th from 1:00am until approximately 12:00pm.

During this time, REPORTER will be moved to a new cloud environment. There will be no changes in urls, functionality or access as part of this maintenance. If you have any activities that will be affected during this window, please contact reporter_support@ncsu.edu. While we do not anticipate the application being unavailable during the entire window, we are blocking off all of that time, to ensure the success of the move. This cloud environment update will allow us to be better positioned for functionality enhancements and upgrades in the future.

 

  • Below are the highlights of the recent updates to the REPORTER production environment — to see the full list, please click here.
    • The Bulk Registration process now allows Course Admins to create external accounts at the time of import by including the registrant’s email address, first name and last name in the import template – click here for more details
    • Course Admins now have the ability to create external/guest accounts and update external user profiles, including updating contact and employment information in the Guest Account Management link on the left side menu. All changes are recorded in the user’s account audit history.
    • Updated all text editors to provide a consistent set of editing options, including common formatting choices, ability to set responsive images, and the option to view the HTML source code for the field
    • Added functionality to support Administrative Payments. Applying Administrative payments allows Financial Admins to apply payments from a single payment source (e.g. check or wire transfer) to orders with multiple participants/registrations and/or multiple orders – Help Documentation
    • Added the ability for Financial Admins to add discounts retroactively to completed orders and trigger partial refunds.
    • We are now passing the email address, physical address and phone number (if the details are set up on the registrant’s account) to the Nelnet payment screens during registration to prevent registrant’s from having to enter the information multiple times.
    • Corrected an issue causing the ‘Most Recent Completion’ date column to be blank if completions occurred over one year ago and the refresher setting was a 1 year interval with all previous completions counting towards the requirement
    • Updated the Protection of Minors compliance form to support changes to the University regulation, including email notifications, wording updates, improved reports, and updates to required information.
    • Updated Certificate Program reports
    • The SACS Data Report was updated to include a date range search field that will recalculate Enrollment and Completion numbers based on the entered range.
    • Completed additional development for Youth Activities & added the option to require an application prior to registration for Youth Activities
      • JC Raulston Arboretum has opened registration for their 2020 Summer Garden Camps
      • The Wilson College of Textiles has begun accepting applications for their Summer Textile Exploration Program (STEP)
      • NC State Cheerleading completed registrations for their Winter Clinic
      • Functionality can be previewed via help documentation available on the support site. Development includes support for:
        • The option to require an Application process prior to the registration for youth programs (including family account creation)
        • Registration of a minor as a part of a family account including imports that can create family accounts
        • Built in forms (waivers, medical, emergency contact, etc)
        • Waitlist functionality
